Dr. Steve Gustafson and Dr. Shari Morningstar were recently recognized as Royal Oak icons in a Royal Oak Patch article. Columnist Cindy La Ferle has been visiting our office for over 20 years, since Dr. Donald Gustafson (Dr. Steve's dad) was her dentist.
In the article, she highlights Gustafson and Morningstar Dentistry as one of the Royal Oak treasures and institutions that made her annual gratitude list. Be sure to read this Royal Oak Patch article, and let us know what you think!
Thank you,

Helpful tips to ease your fear of visiting the Dentist
Do you find yourself feeling increasingly nervous the closer you get to your next Dental appointment? Gustafson and Morningstar Dentistry understands that many people feel this way and we would like to provide some tips to help you feel more comfortable on your next visit.
Understand that you are not alone
There are many people out there that are afraid of visiting the dentist for various reasons.
Identify your fears
Sit down and write down everything that makes you nervous about going to the dentist. Once you have them written down, scan your list and think about some ways you might be able to overcome them.
Discuss your fears with your Doctor
After making a list, bring it in or simply remember what you wrote down and talk about them you’re your doctor. Gustafson and Morningstar Dentistry takes these issues very seriously and by discussing any reservations or concerns with you, we can work toward providing a more comfortable dental experience.
Avoiding dental treatment will only increase your fears
By avoiding dental treatment you run the risk of requiring more serious dental treatment. By regularly visiting the dentist, you will rest easier knowing that you are keeping your teeth healthy.
Drs. Gustafson and Morningstar hope that you find these tips useful. Feel free to call our office with and questions or concerns you might have.

Dr. Steve and Dr. Shari support our Royal Oak Salvation Army
At Gustafson and Morningstar Dentistry, it is very important to our doctors and team that we give back to our community, especially during the holiday season. Dr. Steve and Dr. Shari recently bell rang for the Salvation Army with the Royal Oak Optimist Club at the Holiday Market in downtown Royal Oak. Dr. Steve served on the Advisory Board of the Royal Oak Salvation Army for many years.
We'd like to ask you, our wonderful patients, "How are you giving back to our community this holiday season?" We would love to hear about any organizations, events, or programs that you are supporting this year.
Happy Holidays!
